TT VENUE HIRE

Set over four floors between the vibrant areas of Shoreditch and Hoxton – arguably the creative hub of London – TT Liquor at 17a Kingsland Rd is a one-of-a-kind multi-purpose venue boasting brick-walled, wooden-floored interiors with a post-industrial aesthetic that reflects the character of the area.

TT Liquor is suited to a huge range of events from meetings to private parties to full venue takeovers. We offer a range of rooms for short-term rental from our grand 100sqm L-shaped Orangery room to our cosy 16sqm Palm room, all of which benefit from high ceilings, original wooden floors, historical features and excellent natural light. All our rooms are flexible in terms of layout, furnishings and servicing and are available for a multitude of uses including product launches, social events, meeting rooms, dining experiences, pop-up gallery spaces, photography or filming studios and temporary offices.

TT Liquor is conveniently located between Shoreditch High Street and Hoxton station – both within 0.3 miles of the building – it is also just a stone’s throw from Liverpool Street and Old Street stations. The building itself has a rich and varied history, beginning life in the 19th century as the old Shoreditch police station and it retains many of the original features including the original brick vaulted cells – now converted into booths – and even a secret tunnel to the former Old Street courthouse.

VENUE OVERVIEW

TT Liquor is a multi-faceted establishment dedicated to all things related to high-quality alcoholic beverages. Tucked away behind our liquor store on Kingsland road, the venue sprawls backwards over four distinct floors connected via a labyrinthine network of corridors.

Through the swinging saloon doors of the liquor store, and down our basement steps is our understated yet entirely memorable Cellar Bar, complete with a bespoke bar menu, banquette seats, a DJ booth, and our unique subterranean vaults. Formerly Victorian-era police holding cells, we’ve converted them into atmospheric alcoves, the perfect spot for a quiet drink or two.

Moving back upstairs we have our screening room, which has played host to a wide variety of events from music video premieres to after-work talks. Most recently it has been converted into a theatre space as part of our latest venture, TT Cinema, which entails us putting on a screening of a cult classic every month and pairing it off with a classic cocktail.

Further up we have a number of airy studios of varying sizes, which are used most often as classrooms for our cocktail making workshops, although these spaces are noted for their versatility and can be deployed for a wide range of purposes and a variety of events. They share the floor with a well-equipped kitchen, perfect for bespoke events, supper clubs, and set menu dining.

Moving up one more level, to the very top of the building, you will find two more private hire spaces, the Monkey Room and the Juniper Room at the front of the building and at the rear we have our Garden Roof Terrace, a secluded outdoor rooftop space, with its own bar and cover and heating for the colder months.

The Monkey Room continues the building’s post-industrial aesthetic, with exposed wood floors and large timber-framed sash windows on two sides. Slightly larger than the Palm Room below it, The Monkey Room is well equipped for the same kind of uses, being used regularly for small to moderately sized cocktail classes and tastings and as a temporary office space or showroom.

As the newest studio at TT Liquor, the Monkey Room hasn’t seen as much use as its older siblings but has still played host to scores of cocktail classes of varying sizes and spent years operating as a versatile office space, used by both ourselves and outside organisations in both a temporary and long term capacity.

The Juniper Room, named after the essential ingredient in gin, one of our favourite and most used spirits, continues the ex-industrial aesthetic seen throughout the building with its exposed wooden floors, original sash windows on three sides and bespoke timber shelving.

The Juniper room is accessed through our side entrance on Kingsland Rd, by following the stairs all the way to the top of the building and entering through the door on the right. This is our second largest room, with a sizable square footprint able to accommodate large cocktail classes, meetings or conferences.

Like the Monkey Room, The Juniper Room hasn’t been used for as many events as the rest of our spaces but in the short time that it has been in use as a private hire space it has hosted countless cocktail classes and tastings.

As our second biggest room, The Juniper Room has proved invaluable for hosting larger groups for cocktail classes, tastings and events and before that had a long and successful tenure as our main office space.

Perfect for large cocktail classes for groups between 10 and 25 people.

The Cellar Bar

Understated yet entirely memorable, our subterranean Cellar Bar is an adaptable bar hire venue, suited to a wide variety of applications.

The decor is in tune with the rest of the building, and the space boasts oak-panelled walls and row upon row of reclaimed vintage cinema seats that were recovered from a derelict Welsh provincial theatre. These quirky touches are paired off nicely with modern, up-to-date technological fittings such as HD projection, Dolby surround sound, and a cinema-quality projector screen to ensure attendee’s viewing experience is as professional and seamless as possible.

Furthermore, its location, right next door to our Lounge Bar, and perched just above our intimate Cellar Bar, means that liquid refreshments will never be too far from attendee’s hands. On top of this, our liquor store – and therefore our well-stocked shelves of beer and wine – is mere metres away, meaning that everyone should be well-and-truly catered for.
