The Aviation Room
Venue Hire Shoreditch
Out of all our private hire spaces in our Shoreditch home, The Aviation Room, otherwise known as the First Floor Front, is one of our most popular.
It is our mid-sized studio and is virtually square in proportion, consisting of 34SQM of adaptable space with a capacity of up to 25 people.
Like all of our rooms, The Aviation Room benefits from an abundance of natural light, which pours through the traditionally tall timber window frames. Other features of the space includes original timber floorboards, an ex-industrial exposed brickwork aesthetic, and a Sonos Soundsystem which allows you to wirelessly connect your device to play music through our high-end Canton speaker system.
To date, this room’s predominant use has been for alcohol-related experiences such as our fully-interactive cocktail making classes. However, the space’s square proportions and versatility make it suitable for a wide variety of uses, from meeting space hire, studio hire, and showrooms, to other brand-oriented experiences.
“It’s medium-sized, but it can still hold a fair deal – we’ve even had a self-contained butterfly enclosure which held tropical species from South America for an event last year!”
Thoko, General Manager

Studio 3 is located on the third floor of our four-floor studios. Entering through the doors of our specialist liquor store on Kingsland Road, make your way through our lounge bars, up the staircase, left past the kitchen, and you’ll find yourself standing square in the middle of it.
As well as an abundance of natural light due to it’s large original windows, the room also boasts some quirky original features, such as an exposed brickwork chimneybreast and a vintage counterbalanced sliding door. The space also benefits from having two entrances, one from the corridor connecting to the West Wing and the rest of the building, and another leading up from a flight of stairs directly from the road below, meaning that it is easily accessible from both sides.
Studio 3 also benefits from being located directly below our permanent office, where you can find our dedicated event organisers. Conveniently placed on-site, they are an experienced team and will happily answer any queries or questions you may have – on the day or otherwise – about anything from drinks consultancy to logistical arrangements, to last-minute changes.
“This space works really well for cocktail competitions and brand activities and events. It’s got a really good back bar to dress, great natural light. It’s medium-sized, but it can still hold a fair deal – we’ve even had a self-contained butterfly enclosure which held tropical species all the way from South America for an event last year!” – Thoko, General Manager.
Such is the versatility of the space, Studio 3 has been used for a staggeringly wide variety of purposes. In it’s time it has been transformed into a cocktail making studio, a lecture theatre, a dining space, a meeting room, and – as mentioned above – even a fully-equipped butterfly house, replete with exotic varieties of butterflies!
