Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas 20th Anniversary Industry Screening

3rd June

Come 3rd June, we will be putting on a special screening of this hallucinatory film adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson’s famous book to mark the 20th anniversary of its initial release.

Starring oddball journalist Johnny Depp and psychopathic lawyer Benicio Del Toro, this rambling psychedelic journey through Nevada is rambling and devoid of a clear narrative in its attempts to translate the book’s stream of consciousness effect onto the big screen – and it is considered to be one of the most transgressive studio productions ever made.

Rather predictably, it failed at the box office but achieved a cult status in the years that followed nevertheless. It has come to be viewed as a metaphor for the worst of American culture – with all its extremes and excess, its money obsession and its visual vulgarity.

To mark the occasion, we’ll be teaming up with Kentucky Bourbon royalty in the form of Buffalo Trace, which will form the basis of our complimentary cocktail serves for the evening.

All Buffalo Trace cocktails will be available at the Cellar Bar pre-screening and throughout the week.

So join us on 3rd June at 4pm sharp for a movie and a mixed drink.

Tickets are £5 and include a complimentary cocktail, a limited edition TT Liquor X Buffalo Trace tote bag, copper julip tin and a small bottle of Buffalo Trace’s finest to round it all off.

Get involved.
