Tasting Sessions - Cabby's Rum

The inaugural set of tasting sessions will be led by Moses Odong, of the multi-award-winning Mile End-based Cabby’s Rum.

Delivered in his beloved black cab, his white rum constitutes the first ever entirely produced in London, and the awards speak for themselves – Cabby’s picked up four at the International Wine and Spirits Competition this summer.

Just as comfortable being sipped neat, as it is alongside a mixer, Moses’ liquid has certainly shaken up the rum game and opened our eyes to the full potential of white rum.

Moses is keen to spread the word, and get London “talking the rum language” – now’s your chance to be fluent.

Included in the session is a rum-soaked welcome cocktail, followed by a guided tasting of Moses’ award-winning range.

FORMAT

Arrival – Guests will arrive through the doors of our specialist liquor store on Kingsland Road, where they will be greeted by one of our team. We recommend you arrive 10 minutes ahead of your booking.

Welcome Drink – You will then be led down the stairs and into our Cellar Bar, where our discerning mixologists will put together you’re Cabby’s-based serve for the evening.

Guided Tasting – Once you’ve sipped your way through your complimentary cocktail, Moses Odong – you’re guide for the evening – will lead you on a comprehensive tasting of his award-winning liquid, explaining the unique backstory to the brand and how his small-batch rum is produced.

Afters – All attendees are welcome to remain in the Cellar Bar at the conclusion of your session. Prior reservation is recommended but not mandatory.
