The orange tree was firstly discovered in the green region of Southern Himalaya in South-East Asia, similar to other citrus trees. During ancient times, oranges had always been considered too bitter in taste, but valuable for their decorative purposes and tangy aromas. The popular Valencia Orange changed its reputation when it was first grown in Spain. The sun-kissed city of Valencia made the perfect environment for the orange to grow in popularity, due to the delicious taste.
The white flesh holds tightly unto the golden, orange skin, making it difficult to peel. Once uncovered, the juicy and sweet taste reveal. This late-season bloomer is the only in its kind to exceptionally ripen in summer, making it the perfect ingredient for fresh summer cocktails. Distilled in a copper still, fused with Jamaican aged rum, assures the best flavor combination to take you back to those warm summer nights.
Extra Fun Fact: The color orange is derived from the ripe orange fruit. Before the fruit arrived in Europe, the color was referred to as yellow-red.

ABOUT THE DISTILLERY
Spirited Union believe in a hands-on approach to creating their spirits. It’s why each and every bottle is made by hand in their distillery in Amsterdam. Wherever automation is introduced it is to make their spirits better not necessarily to save a few pennies. The difference between something good and something great, after all, comes down to the details.
