Prohibition put an end to small-batch distilling in New York, but Tuthilltown Distillers have resurrected an Empire State classic with their Manhattan Rye Whiskey. Good ol’ American ingenuity you can taste, this is not your grandfather’s harsh tipple, but a lively, yet smooth 21st-century whiskey.

TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Bright copper.
Nose: Maple and oak with hints of mint.
Taste: More peppermint coming through with some heat and spice.
Finish: Caramels flourishing before drying out with notes of clove.
Overall: Energetic and lively rye whiskey.

The foundation of Hudson Manhattan Rye is handpicked within ten miles of Tuthilltown Spirit Distillery. Once the local farmers harvest and dry the rye, it is ground, water is then added so that the cooking of the mash for fermentation can begin. The Manhattan Rye is left to mature for four years in signature small charred new American oak barrels. These small barrels mean more wood contact in relation to the whiskey, which accounts for its rich, oaky, smoky flavour profile. The whiskey is never filtered, giving a full-flavour experience.

Delivery Information

Shop delivery: We will always try our best to dispatch as soon as possible, please be advised that some items may take up to 5 working days.

Voucher delivery: As soon as we receive a voucher order they’re sent out via first class post. Depending on how busy Royal Mail is, you’ll usually receive your physical vouchers in 2-3 working days.
