Buffalo Trace is a Kentucky straight bourbon produced at one of the most awarded distilleries in the world, formally the George T. Stagg Distillery, it was renamed Buffalo Trace when purchased by Sazerac in 1999.
TASTING NOTES
Appearance: Deep Honey.
Nose: Whipped butter, caramels and allspice.
Taste: Buttery toffees, candied orange with a hint of peppermint.
Finish: Black peppercorns and woody vanilla.
Overall: Exceptionally balanced, great all-around bourbon.

If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have one bourbon with you, this would be your best choice. Buffalo Trace is an outstanding, bang-for-buck bourbon and if you’re looking for the perfect whiskey to mix that is also present neat, then look no further.

Buffalo Trace’s mashbill is of a low rye percentage and utilises barley malt and a hefty amount of corn. This gives the whiskey its full body and sweetness with a touch of spice.
