Nia

This summer TT Live Sessions were joined by NIA for one of our most enigmatic and enchanting shows to date.

By
TT Liquor

NIA took to the stage accompanied by Chevelle Frazer-Rose on bass and Dr Leo Soul on keys and her trusty SP404, instantly capturing the attention of the room with her silky, smoky, ethereal vocals. The Birmingham-born artist showed her talent, range and stage-presence as she effortlessly glided from track to track never losing the audience’s focus. The back area of the Cellar Bar was filled to the rafters with both guests who had come down specifically for NIA’s performance and regular TT drinkers drawn to the bewitching sounds floating through the building.

As always, TT Head of Music Chris P Cuts got things going, DJing from 7pm and the night was capped off with a DJ set from Matilda bookending an incredible show.

A student of the Abbey Road Institute and regular appearance on London-based music platform Balamii, NIA showed everyone in attendance that she is truly one to watch and we expect her to be gracing much bigger stages than the humble TT Cellar Bar very soon.

A massive thank you to NIA and her band for their enthralling performance, to Chris P Cuts for putting it together, to the Cellar Bar team for being impeccable as ever, and to everyone who came down.

  • Our music philosophy, in one word, is “SOULFUL.” It’s a journey through disco, soul, hip-hop, funk and everything in between coming in two forms; intimate, stripped-back live sessions, featuring new performers on the first Tuesday of every month, and resident DJs and guest headliners taking care of the soundtrack throughout the building the rest of the time.

All our music programming is curated by head of music Chris P Cuts.
