FAIR.trade Fortnight

We’re excitedly teaming up once more with FAIR. drinks, hosting a series of fundraising events for Fairtrade Fortnight 2019 – with an emphasis upon all things Chocolate-related.

FAIR. are a drinks and spirits company dedicated to ethical business practice. They believe in treating all people fairly, and this belief has taken them all over the world to source the best ingredients for their high-quality spirits – and to make sure the people sourcing them are treated fairly and equally.

This year, our collective passion for chocolate will be raising funds towards the women of ANAPQUI (The Asociación Nacional de Productores de quinoa), the Bolivian co-op from whom FAIR source the majority of the quinoa for their award-winning vodka.

The idea is to empower the too often-marginalised women in the region with sewing and knitting courses via ASOMART (an association of women craft-workers), so that they can learn the skills to create traditional Bolivian fabric and clothing to sell at market – achieving crucial financial independence in the process.

Due to geographical and financial constraints currently only 44 women benefit directly from ASOMART, the goal is to help 106 further women through our fundraising this year.

We are proud to be aligning ourselves once more with FAIR. and the Fairtrade Foundation, since we all have the same core belief – to treat people fairly and equally.
