TT Cinema: True Romance Screening
February 12 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
£15Thievery, deception, murder – who said romance is dead? Join us on 12th February as we indulge our anti-Valentines spirit with a screening of Tony Scott and Quentin Tarantino’s cult hit, True Romance.
Starring the original heartthrobs, Christian Slater (Clarence) and Patricia Arquette (Alabama), the film follows their unconventional, if endearing romance that sees them take on pimps, the mafia and, frankly, their own shortcomings as adults as they traverse the US.
And none of this is to mention the plethora of glittering performances from it’s star-studded supporting cast – a stoner Brad Pitt and dreadlocked pimp played by Gary Oldman are just a couple of examples that spring to mind.
The film split the critics when it was first released, and was a relative box office failure. Not that this prevented it from gaining a sizeable cult following in the years that followed and leaving a lasting imprint on the genre and cinema more widely.
In terms of the liquid refreshments, our bar team have been hard at work putting together a free bespoke serve especially for the occasion – one that will play off some of the themes and motifs of the visual spectacle at hand.
Please arrive at 6:30pm to allow time for you to collect your complimentary cocktails from the bar. Film starts at 7pm sharp.
Tickets are £15 for the one, £20 for a pair using the code ‘trueromance’ at checkout, and are available below. Complimentary cocktail included.
