Tasting Session – Gosling’s Rum
March 28 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm£10
We move into March with another exclusive Tasting Session, this time courtesy of the guys over at venerable Bermuda-based rum producers, Gosling’s.
Taking the session, we’re excited to be welcoming Emily Gosling to Shoreditch.
She’s a direct descendent of James Gosling, the brand’s founder who set out from England to America in 1806 with £10,000 worth of merchandise but the expiry of charter meant that they had to land in Bermuda, where they eventually set up their iconic shopfront on Long Street which they maintained for over 127 years.
She’s keen to impart more pearls of wisdom and interesting tidbits on the history and evolution of the brand – including how they coined the Dark ‘n’ Stormy cocktail, and how their rum even found its way into traditional Bermudan cuisine.
Tickets are £10 a head and include a welcome Gosling’s cocktail, followed up by a guided tasting of their range down in our subterranean vaults.
