PAO & THE GANG

After her recent sell-out supper club, we’re excited to be welcoming back Venezuelan chef Pao Carlini to our Shoreditch home on Saturday 28th April to once more celebrate creativity and Cacao in all its forms.

Pao and The Gang will be here to deliver a deliciously unexpected sequence of (mostly) savoury flavours that will prove that cacao is so much more than just chocolate.

Showcasing her creativity and passion for her craft, every dish in Pao’s 5-course banquet menu is designed to showcase a particular element of the chocolate-making process and the journey of cacao – starting with the fruit, then the seeds, then the cocoa butter, followed by the mass, before finally arriving at the king of it all – chocolate.

Same as before, we’ve got the drinks covered. Our expert bartenders will work closely with Pao and the Gang to carefully curate 5 bespoke cocktail and wine pairings, intended to compliment each of the cacao-rich dishes you’ll be served.

But it doesn’t stop there. The decor of the afternoon, and the whole table setting – from the menus to the table cloth (even some the ceramic plates you’ll be eating off!) – have been carefully tailored specifically for the event thanks to the efforts of Pao’s good friends, architect Fab, and Lu – an artist and ceramist.

FORMAT

Arrival – Guests will arrive at our specialist liquor store at 7:00pm, where they will be greeted by their attentive host for the day before being led upstairs to our communal dining space.

Food – Attendees will then embark on their cacao-themed culinary journey, enjoying a delicious 5-course sequence of surprising flavours while admiring the artwork on the plates and the decorations arranged carefully around them.

Drink – Our bartenders will create 5 bespoke cocktails to be served alongside each of the plates, carefully designed to compliment the ingredients and cacao-rich flavours of the individual dishes.
