TT Liquor x Kino Vino: Australia

Thursday 13th September sees us collaborate with supper club specialists Kino Vino for the third time – with this rendition seeing us transport guests down-under for an Australian-themed food and film spectacular.

Kino Vino have made their name in putting together unique film-and-supper, examining the way in which food, culture and cinema interact and the ways in which this can enhance people’s culinary experience.

On the night we’re thrilled to be welcoming Maxine Thompson, chef and founder of the ground-breaking Polka Pants label. She’s a dab hand in the kitchen, having cut her teeth working in some of the leading restaurants around the world, and there’ll be no doubt that she’ll be bringing no small measure of that experience with her to Shoreditch.

On the night she’ll be taking attendees on a culinary journey, whisking them away to her native Australia and serving dishes inspired by her surroundings growing up. Expect an eclectic menu of down-under delights, ranging from fried octopus to crispy pork belly and buttermilk ice cream meringue.

In terms of the liquids, we have those covered as per tradition.

As well as a welcome drink, our expert bartenders have been hard at work over the past few weeks putting together a series of bespoke cocktail pairings – each designed to compliment the unique flavour profiles of each course.

Furthermore, enhancing your culinary experience and preparing you for the Australian adventure to come, pre-supper TT Cinema will be treating you to a screening of Shirley Barrett’s Love Serenade, probably the wackiest romantic comedy you’ll have ever laid eyes on.

FORMAT:

Arrival: Guests will arrive through the doors of our liquor store at 7pm, where they will be met by their hosts for the evening and where they will receive a complimentary welcome drink and nibbles.

Screening: Attendees will then be led through the building and into our screening room, where they will be treated to zany romantic comedy, Love Serenade, preparing themselves for the feast ahead.

Dinner: At the film’s conclusion, guests will be invited up the stairs and into our West Wing banqueting space, where they will take their seats for the evening. There, they will be treated to a five-course Australian feast paired off with five bespoke cocktails courtesy of our discerning bar team.
