On Friday 27th April we’re excited to be welcoming through our doors critically acclaimed chef Ben Spalding, who heads up immersive dining experience specialists, Puzzle Projects.

Ben and PuzzleProjects have cooked at hundreds of locations around the world: at Coachella festival in LA, at employees’ desks at Facebook HQ, on an open-top bus driving around London, at a wedding in Nice, a stall in Broadway Market, a gathering on the Norwegian fjords, a hotel in St Tropez and a birthday dinner for a client’s mum in her kitchen in Cambridge, to name a few.

Ben himself has honed his craft over fifteen years in the hospitality industry, cutting his teeth at some of the finest Michelin-starred restaurants across the planet, such as Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck, Melbourne’s Vue De Monde, and 28+ in Gothenburg – all the while earning accolades for his distinctive style and taste for innovation.

Now he’ll be bringing his unique take on fine dining and street food to our Shoreditch home for the very first time, and it looks set to be an unmissable evening of culinary surprises, bespoke cocktail pairings, and lovingly-prepared springtime ingredients.

He’ll be preparing a 5-course banquet, with additional surprises, utilising the highest quality ingredients and all of his considerable knowledge and craft.

Since liquids are our forte, we’ll be in charge of the alcoholic (or non-alcoholic!) refreshments for the evening – creating 4 bespoke cocktail pairings for you to enjoy alongside Ben’s offerings, as well as a welcome drink for you to sip upon arrival.

As if that wasn’t enough, you’re eardrums as well as your tastebuds will be catered for during this multi-sensory dining experience, since Ben has prepared a musical accompaniment of rare groove, funk, soul & disco just for the occasion. Arrival – Guests will arrive at our liquor store entrance at 6:30pm, where they will be greeted with a welcome cocktail by their hosts for the evening.  They will then be led upstairs to our communal dining space and shown to their seats.

Food – Once seated, attendees will be treated to Ben’s 5-course banquet with additional surprises to be revealed on the evening. All the while, enjoy the sounds of rare groove, funk, soul & disco featured on Ben’s tailored musical playlist.

Drink – Our expert mixologists will be preparing 4 bespoke cocktail pairings – excluding the welcome cocktail – designed to match the varied flavour profiles on show during the banquet.

Afters – After the 5 courses, guests will be invited downstairs into our subterranean Cellar Bar where they can sample our extensive menu. Reservations recommended but not mandatory.

We have a variety of lounges dedicated to hosting private as well as public dining experiences at our permanent home on Kingsland Road in Shoreditch, east London.
